every moment holy

In the midst of the current upheaval in our routines and rhythms it 's easy to feel out of sync with God. What if we could meet together, in a physically-distanced group of five or ten people, look one another in the eye, say a prayer, and be reminded that God is still at work in our lives and the world? We've been introduced to a beautiful book called, Every Moment Holy, containing a plethora of helpful readings and prayers—they're actually called liturgies. What if we met at a designated spot, spent 15-20 minutes together with our prayer, then broke off in one’s or two’s for a walk and conversation, or you just went back to your day? Short, simple, and God-directed, to keep us on track.

Faith for the Average Guy in the Midst of a Fire Storm

Wednesday Nights 5-5:30pm

Let’s gather on Wednesday nights, through the end of May, to pray and read God’s word. Maybe this crisis (pandemic) we are facing right now is God’s way of getting our attention. He wants to speak to us if we are willing to listen. We need God’s perspective now more than ever. James is the perfect section of Scripture to read. God will challenge the foundation of your faith, the purity of your faith, and the strength of your faith in Him. Join us.

Lent Devotional

Lent is the time between Ash Wednesday, February 26, and Easter, and has often been observed and practiced as a time for introspection, prayer, and even fasting. As Jesus moved through his ministry and turned his focus toward traveling to Jerusalem and the cross, we join him in our own preparation for a life of greater devotion to Jesus and alignment with his mission. We hope you will join us in reading and reflecting as we prepare not only for Good Friday, but also for Easter Sunday.

I Corinthians: A Beautiful kind of Broken

I Corinthians is a beautifully written letter from the Apostle Paul to the believers living in the city of Corinth, a lively seaport filled with various religions, cultures and practices. Paul calls the church, and each new believer in Corinth a beautiful kind of broken. We are once broken people now beautifully restored to be members of a new community of followers of Christ. Jesus has dusted us off, glued us back together and reinstated us as useable in the grand work of God in culture and society. For many of us, it’s a strange concept to actually believe our bodies are part of our spiritual lives. What do they have to do with one another? Jesus came not to just yank your renewed and redeemed soul to heaven when you die but bring a beauty to your broken down body that has been given new life and purpose awaiting its final redemption. So this life matters in how we live and conduct ourselves not only in the context of the church but also the world. It’s a beautiful thing to see you and us together living extraordinary lives. A beautiful kind of broken is you, and is us together.
