God’s Faithfulness in the Fire

I want to believe that God's faithfulness means He will keep me from pain and loss and trials of any kind. But, I have experienced pain and loss and trials. So what is true? Let's look at God's promise to be faithful and what that means and looks like and feels like in the middle of a storm.
