Night of Intention

Most of us have a desire to hear God speak to us; we hope to receive his comfort and guidance on a regular basis. Yet, sometimes when we open His Word, it doesn’t result in the meaningful connection with Him that we had longed for. Our plan for this Night of Intention is, first, to teach you a way to approach Scripture that allows God’s voice to permeate your life more consistently. We will then spend some time practicing it together. Our desire is that you will leave with greater confidence in your ability to hear God speak, as well as a practical strategy that increases your experience of consistently hearing God’s voice speaking directly to you.

The River’s “Night of Intention” events are intended to provide a way to support and equip women to enrich and deepen their spiritual journey, grow in intimacy with the Father and become more like Jesus.

Bible Study - Gather

*Gather is currently taking a break, but will pick back up in September!

Gather is a community Bible study where women from all different walks of life meet to study God’s Word and support one another. We are united by a love for Jesus and each other. We started meeting in a home fifteen years ago and have since grown to almost 200 women. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word and Revelation of God and use it as our compass to learn and follow Christ together.

Gather is currently taking a break, but will pick back up September 8th! We will be studying Rick Warren’s book, Created to Dream (The 6 Phases God Uses to Grow Your Faith.

Tuesdays 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Malaga Cove Library
and 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at The River House

Holy Yoga with April Thille

Mom's Bible Studies

We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful summer filled with sweet moments with your children, time with family, restful evenings, and all the simple joys this season brings.

We’re excited to share an update about our Fall Mentor Moms Bible Study!

This fall, we’ll be combining our Mentor Moms Bible Studies into one Thursday morning gathering. We’re looking forward to bringing everyone together for a meaningful time of fellowship, encouragement, and studying God’s Word. Childcare will be provided, and registration is now open!
 
Fall Bible Study Details
    ●    Begins: Thursday, September 17
    ●    Time: 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
    ●    Location: We will rotate between Carol McFarland’s home and Judi Pyke’s home

This semester, we’ll be studying the Book of James (study guide linked below) using our familiar CBS format. James offers practical wisdom for everyday faith, challenging us to live out God’s Word with perseverance, humility, and grace. We look forward to growing together as we study this powerful book.
