Renewal Takes Sacrifice
We are starting a new series called Transformation - How to Change for the Better. This is the year of growing deeper in our faith. If we want more out of our walk with Jesus, we’ve got to make some changes. There are things you are doing right now that maybe you need stop doing. There are things you are not doing that might be a good idea to start doing. And that goes for your thinking as well. So how does a person change? There was a viking ship captain who announced he had good news and bad news. "The good news, men, is that we all get to change our underwear today. The men cheered. The bad news is, Joe, you change with Charlie, Bob, you change with Pete..." Fine, you didn’t like my joke. That’s hardly any real change, right? Real change, biblically speaking, is about a life transformation, from the inside out so that what you evidence is a changed person in me. We celebrate when someone has completed the steps, or has successfully committed to a new work out regiment, or become more self aware. Ok, so let’s begin this week by looking at Romans 12:1-2 that says the basis of all change is renewal.
