Do This More and More

Stay hydrated; get your heart rate up 3-5 times each week; eat more vegetables. You don’t really need your coach, or mom, or doctor to teach you about this. You know the drill, you have heard it for a long time, now just do this more and more. There are basics in life that are so fundamental, vital for our own health and for the good of the world around us. Once in a while I come to my senses and realize that I have veered off course from the basics, for a week or two, or a month. Then I need a gentle reminder to get back at it, without remorse or self-recrimination. I am going to give us, The River Church, a reminder. It’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10. When you read it, you’ll find more affirmation than critique.
